Darl's Defense

In William Faulkners novel As I give notice Dying, Darl Bundren is labeled as nothing more than another substantiation on the Bundrens journey, as they be forced to express with Darls insanity and mental instability, when in fact the pip opposite could be argued that Darl is actually one of the sanest members of the family. Darls off-key madness is a direct result of the betrayal of his family; the equivalent ones who accuse Darl of his egotism-induced insanity, pushing him to a breaking point via their record twisted ulterior motives and instability, eventually causing him to perform the resembling acts that in turn label him as the insane image he is presumed to be. Darl is not insane, rather barely ridiculous to be laid in a family such as his and in the spot taking place throughout the novel. I conceive of this is because his family, especially his siblings Dewey Dell and Jewel, truly do not take in Darls positive intentions. Instead, they are just weirded out by his actions because they are too simple-minded and self centered to understand someone elses motives who do not match their own, reservation him that much more subjective to be labeled as crazy. Not only do his intellectually inferior siblings misinterpret Darl, but also his own incur never want Darl in the first place.
