Concert Critique

On Friday November 19, I attended the live Sweets contrive, performed by the UCLA violoncello Studio. The musical group was made up of five cellists, and it was carry by Antonio List. Each cellist compete a piece, important at a time. So, the contrive consisted of five pieces wholly to shoother. trey of the performers play a Bach suite, and the other two performers played a contemporary suite. Even though the performance was grease around Bach, they wanted to add some variety so they played some pieces that were not written by Bach. Person in ally, I liked to hear the pieces that were not composed by Bach, because I was satisfactory to compare the newer music to Bachs music. The concert was held in the Rotunda. I thought the Rotunda was a very elflike place to maintain a concert. There were not true(p) to middling seats for everyone who attended, so lots of tribe had to stand. I got a seat towards the back row, and I was not able to attain the performers while th ey were playing, because there were so many people in front of me. However, I can understand why that emplacement was chosen. The acoustics were amazing. The cello reasoneded extremely rich and amplified. But indeed again, all five cellists were very skilled players. So, I codt think they needed the Rotunda in order to weighty good.

At times, they wer! e jumping from note, to note, to note. So, I can tell that they have practised a lot, and they have been trained very well. However, I did not like the pieces that they chose to perform. I felt like all of the pieces were dry out; they were not very exciting to find out to. The first performer, Jonathan Thomson, performed Bachs Suite No. 2 in D minor. I thought that this sounded like a warm up piece, in order for the performer to get his...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: OrderCustomPaper.com
