On Womens Day (March 8), India witnessed the high emf drama over much talked Women Reservation top in the Parliament. The Womens Reservation Bill is the most essential greenback to empower women in Indian politics. According to the metre, women will enjoy 33 per cent of the reservations in the Lower House of the Parliament and Assemblies. The other parties were in against of the Bill and the supporters of UPA administration have threatened to withdraw their support. While talking to NDTV the soon afterwards the bill was passed in Parliament, the Congress Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi was more confident about the bill. She withal urged the need of the bill in India politics. Why the Womens Reservation Bill?The need of the hour is women empowerment. The fact cant be denied that button up after 50 years of getting independence and self organisation of Indian democracy, there is need to protect the interest of women in India. The bill will give 33 per cent of compulsory presence of women representing diverse parties in the Upper House of the Parliament and Assemblies.
